Rigotrigohigosigowigotiohigokigofigogigocigonigosigo – DONE
Note: This team is just being silly.
Note: At this point, teams were not allowed in if the name contained a repeated sound then the school that the team came from would not be able to compete again. This is getting silly.
Cappuccino – DONE – GRAND FINALIST - EIGHTH PLACE
Carrobo – DONE
Note: This school bribed the competition managers into letting it in, even if it did have the suffix -obo. Some people never learn.
Cappucinorobo – DONE
Note: This team came from the same school as above: More bribing was involved.
Gotcha! – DONE
Note: And Gotcha! indeed. That team came from the same school that the two above teams came from. That school is now banned from the competition. They still got to stay in this year though (I suspect bribing…)
Flump the robot! - DISQUALIFIED
Robot-flump – DISQUALIFIED
Flump! – DISQUALIFIED
Flumpy – DISQUALIFIED
Note: Flump is now in the book of banned things to have in a team name. -obo and any repeated phrase is in too.
Roboobor – DONE - GRAND FINALIST – SEVENTH PLACE (apparently Robo twice. Robo Robo? Oh, one time it’s backwards. Nice.
Death to Robot! – CHANGED (Scary!)
Note: The team Death to Robot changed their name later that same day. It is now Un-Death to Robot.
Un-Death to Robot – CHANGED
Note: The team Un-Death to Robot reverted back to Death to Robot! the same day. I like it better like this.
Death to Robot! – DONE
Doritorobot - DONE (I like Doritos)
Briborobo – CHANGED (Oooh! Naughty!)
Note: The team Briborobo changed their name to avoid being banned the next day. It is now Bribot the Ribot. (Nice!)
Bribot the Ribot – DONE
La Robot a la carte - DISQUALIFIED
Note: The above team was a French sneak-in. They have been told to wait for the World Competition. La Robot a la carte is no longer a team for the Christmas 2007 competition.
Note: At this point, the registration lines were closed. However, there is still chance for the people who didn’t enter. Register in January for the British competition and you’ll possibly receive a free £50 GLOL voucher to spend on a World, Euro, or Christmas 2008 registration. Yes, really!
Note: You have to be one of the first 100 to register. We’re not giving out free registrations for everyone!
